" The Business of Connections® "
This has to be the core of who we are and everything that we do. Charles Moster has represented clients for over 34 years and always put their interests first, earned their respect and trust by honestly advising as to the risks, rewards, and costs of recommended actions, and earning the title as “counselor” in addition to being an Attorney at Law. That is why he has earned the AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell. We are not the latest “it” firm or an overnight sensation. We are not an internet phantom phenomenon. Mr. Moster and his team have a proven history over three decades. Integrity is real for us.
Our clients hold us up to the highest standards of legal excellence and conduct. Our attorneys have been selected based on their academic and professional achievement. We are driven to win but will not sacrifice our adherence to the highest ethical standards in our dealing with our clients, adversaries, and the Court.
We strive to outthink and outlawyer our adversaries. Critically, our creative approach and even presentation style offers us a competitive edge. Mr. Moster served as a NY theatrical director before attending law school and understands the importance of utilizing presentational skills in court to enhance the effectiveness of arguments before judges and juries. This gives us a decided and added edge.
We are an “arrogance free” law firm which means that our respect for clients is the core value of who we are and the character of our professional services. Many attorneys and law firms project a persona of elitism which permeates the organization and poisons the client relationship. We recognize that our professional training must not create an artificial separation between ourselves and those we serve. A false sense of superiority destroys empathy and the very ability to relate to clients and understand their concerns. Arrogance is the antithesis of respect and poisons the attorney-client relationship. Respect demands that we apply the “Golden Rule” in our relationships and critically, in the advice we render.
This is the driving force of our organization and individual commitment to our clients. Fundamentally, it must be programmed into our personal and group DNA. Whether we are representing clients within the confines of a business venture or litigation, we must be driven to succeed even if it requires finding the proverbial “needle in the haystack”. Where the typical response or rejoinder to a client inquiry is “no” or “it cannot be done”, we are driven to find the non-linear solution which is overlooked or simply invisible to most law firms and lawyers. In our view, determination involves two critical components – intelligence and action. We are determined to utilize our skills, training, and imagination to formulate the best solution for our clients. We are equally determined to take the affirmative steps and action to effectuate the solution.
I have learned a lot in my 34 years as a practicing attorney. I have discovered what I am most passionate about and what to avoid at any cost.
First as to passion. After all of these years, I am still passionate about the practice of law and the ability of my organization to well serve its clients. I am driven to win which is a trait inherited from my father and particularly my grandfather, Max Moster, who arrived at Ellis Island in 1901. I attribute my business model and chutzpah to Max who built an international publishing company from scratch in 1920’s New York. His picture adorns our conference rooms in the various offices as he was a tremendous inspiration to me. Max was the consummate entrepreneur and developed his pursuits to an art form. He is a shining example of the promise of America and the ability to rise from the most humble origins and circumstances to great success.
I am passionate about starting and growing businesses and this is the template for the Firm. I am equally passionate about representing entrepreneurs because it is imprinted in my DNA and I well understand and appreciate the risks and rewards. We do very well with entrepreneurs and startups large and small. We share a kindred spirit.I am also passionate about learning new things. I am a 66-year-old first time Dad of a 4-year old girl. I have learned lessons in growth and humility which are beyond compare. I am eternally grateful for that experience.
I am also passionate about technology and the future, particularly the quantum leaps in computers anticipated over the next ten years. I have positioned Moster Law Dallas & the TexaPlex to be a leader in technology and the AI Revolution taking place right now.
Now, as to what must be avoided. Law Firms are typically “aloof” and “rigid”. These are horrible traits for lawyers and should be avoided at all costs by clients. Those words are not descriptors of the Moster Law Firm culture which is fluid, dynamic, and creative.Critically, you will never find an arrogant attorney working for my Firm. This pseudo-elitism is typically a front for lawyers who know very little about law and business and pose a present danger to themselves and others. They never listen. They think they know all the answers. Wisdom is a foreign concept to them. If you ever find an arrogant lawyer working at the Moster Law Firm or any of its offices, please let me know immediately. I will make that problem disappear.
I appreciate your time in reading up on us and look forward to an opportunity to be of service. I am excited about our Firm and the capabilities we can make available to you and your business.
